No we have not gone mad but yes we have been carrying out a bit of spring cleaning rather a bit early. All staff have been busy in November making changes on the estate that will hopefully provide a warmer welcome for visitors.
Our maintenance team were out moving the attendant's hut at Loch an Eilein Car Park to its new location. An area of the car park has been re-surfaced and a new one way system is now in operation to help cars entering and exiting the car park. The hut has been re-positioned to help welcome visitors as they approach the car park.
In amongst this supposed spring cleaning Jon, our senior shooting instructor, even felt upon himself to get the hoover out! To say the rest of the estate staff are shocked at this would be an under-statement!
Aviemore Primary recently visited the estate to learn more about deer management. They were given the chance interact with the deer hand feeding them. This was followed by a visit to the estate butchers and farm shop and finally the children got to try the venison itself! Yum yum!
